SUSPENSION - CUTTER BAR FLOTATION

• Hydropneumatic suspension allows the cutter bar to perfectly follow ground contours for even and fast mowing, a precise cut and clean, high quality forage.

• Cutter bar flotation is achieved by holding an adjustable pressure in the main lift cylinder.
• The suspension is easily adjusted from the tractor’s seat

• Hydraulic flotation maintains a consistent cutter bar weight over a wider range of movement up and down, compared to spring suspension where the weight changes significantly especially at the extremes of movement.

• Hydraulic stabiliser performs two functions. It dampens lateral swinging of the cutter bar when mowing and when lifting the cutter bar, it lifts the left edge of the cutter bar first to prevent gouging into the ground. This is called SIP’s sequential lift feature.

CUTTER BAR

• Safety - SIP new generation of cutter bar protection - Disc Drive Safety System (DDSS) provides protection on all discs and an easy simple low cost in field reset in the event the mower contacts an unwanted obstacle.
• Quiet - Listen to the quietest cutter bar on the market with precision finished gears for low friction, low power requirement, low noise, less wear.

• Efficiency - After cutting it is important that the cut forage flows unobstructed over the cutter bar. The specially designed shaped SIP discs will ensure efficient flow of the forage. 5mm wear resistant Hardox steel is used to reduce wear on the cutter bar for long life.

• Quick Change Blade replacement (QCS) - All SIP hay and silage mowers come standard with Quick Change Blade replacement. An inbuilt tool is fitted conveniently placed to ensure the job is completed with ease.

• Convenient storage of spare blades

CONDITIONER

• A choice of full length rollers or flail conditioner for quicker drying times

• Full length chevron rollers provide even conditioning of the forage. The intensity of the conditioning is continually adjusted.
• Kevlar belt drive does not require adjusting.
• Conditioner RPM is 1000RPM for increased efficiency.

TRANSPORT

• The SIP Silvercut with centre pivot provides a balanced weight distribution of the mower when in the transport position providing safe transport by distributing the load evenly across the tractor’s chassis.

• In transport position, the mower is locked into a third holding point to reduce machine movement and wear on the main folding hinge.

OPTIONS
